PM Trudeau Stuck in India Due to Technical Issue in Aircraft
This incident is not the first time that this Airbus aircraft has caused problems for Trudeau and his delegation.
Due to technical issues with his plane, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his delegation will be extending their stay in India, which is hosting this year’s G20 summit.

The Canadian Prime Minister’s Office released a statement stating, “Upon our departure for the airport, we were informed by the Canadian Armed Forces that CFC001 was experiencing technical problems. These issues cannot be resolved overnight, so our delegation will remain in India until alternate arrangements are made.” The flight had originally been scheduled to depart at 8 pm. Trudeau had arrived in the national capital on Friday to participate in the G20 Summit.
This incident is not the first time that this Airbus aircraft has caused problems for Trudeau and his delegation. According to CTV News, Canada’s 24-hour all-news network, in October 2016, an issue required the aircraft to return to Ottawa just 30 minutes after taking off with the prime minister. Additionally, in October 2019, as reported by CTV News, the VIP plane collided with a wall while being towed into a hangar in Ontario.
