Punjab Police nabs member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang

A member of the Lawerence Bishnoi gang, Rajveer alias Ravi Rajgarh, was arrested by Punjab Police’s anti-gangster task force, DGP Gaurav Yadav’s official Twitter account tweeted Friday.

“In a major breakthrough, #AGTF team arrested Rajveer @ Ravi Rajgarh, operative of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Gangster Rajgarh had a criminal history with 10 FIRs registered related to Extortion, Murder & 307 IPC, Arms Act in Punjab,” the tweet read.

“Seizure of one 30 calibre #China made pistol & 6 live cartridges Punjab Police is committed to keep #Punjab safe and secure as per the directions of CM  @BhagwantMann,” the DGP said in another tweet.

Rajveer was arrested on charges of murder, attempt to murder as well as extortion, according to media reports. During his arrest, a 30 calibre pistol manufactured in China as well as 6 live cartridges were also confiscated, according to Punjab Police DGP Yadav.
