Punjab Vigilance Bureau Arrests Forest Guard for Accepting Rs. 15,000 Bribe
Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested another official for accepting a bribe. This time, it was a Forest Guard Munish Kumar from Sunam road, Sangrur posted at Malerkotla. The VB set a trap for the official following a complaint from the complainant of a resident of the village Burj, Malerkotla district named Nirbhey Singh.
A Vigilance Bureau spokesperson shared that the complainant, Nirbhey Singh, approached the VB and informed that Forest Guard Munish Kumar had demanded a bribe of Rs. 15,000 for not reporting the damage to the forest park adjoining the complainant’s plot. A VB team from the economic offenses wing Ludhiana range was set up and set up a trap for Kumar.
