Punjabi couple living in Manila, Philippines were shot dead by an unidentified man
Philippines: A Punjabi couple living in Manila, Philippines were shot dead by an unidentified man on the night of March 25. The deceased have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh Binda (41), and Kirandeep Kaur (33) from village Chachradi in Jalandhar district. Giving information about the matter, the deceased Sukhwinder Singh Binda’s brother Lakhveer Singh said that he too lives in Manila and had returned to Punjab sometime back. He said the CCTV footage revealed that the killer entered his house in Manila at around 10 pm on Saturday and talked to his brother for some time. The assailant first shot his brother. After hearing the sound of the bullets, his brother’s wife Kirandeep Kaur tried to come out but the attacker shot her too.
He told that the family was doing finance business in Manila for the last 19 years. Deceased Sukhwinder Singh Binda’s brother Lakhveer Singh, brother Ranjit Singh, uncle Manjit Singh, and uncle Bahadur Singh are all living in Manila.
Sukhwinder Singh Binda’s father Santokh Singh shared that his daughter-in-law had gone to Manila only 5 months ago. On the other hand, there is mourning in Kirandeep Kaur’s native village Chachradi.
Kirandeep Kaur’s father Gurudavar Singh told that his daughter had been married for 3 years. They came to know about this incident yesterday afternoon. He demanded from the Indian and Punjab governments to take sternaction against the culprit.
