According to the Montreal police, three persons were fatally stabbed in the Rosemont neighbourhood of Montreal on Friday morning. A suspect has since been arrested, the police added further.
At about 9:20 a.m., police got a 911 call reporting a person “in need” inside a building on Belanger Street close to Viau Boulevard. When authorities arrived at the site of the incident, they spotted three persons with “marks of violence” caused by a sharp object, according to SPVM spokesperson Julien Levesque. The three victims succumbed to their injuries, according to the police.
Visuals, supposedly of the arrest of the suspect, have since made rounds across social media and show the barefoot suspect covered in blood wrestled by police officers attempting to carry out the forceful arrest.
