Sundeep Vilkhu Former Brampton Teaching Assistant, Charged in Historic Sexual Assault Case: Peel Police

This incident allegedly occurred in the 2017-2018 academic year at a Public School in the area of Main Street and Queen Street in the City of Brampton.

Investigators from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) have charged a Brampton man following a sexual assault investigation.

In Jan. 2025, SVU detectives began an investigation following criminal allegations from a concerned parent. It is alleged that the suspect, working as a teaching assistant sexually assaulted a child within the school. This incident allegedly occurred in the 2017-2018 academic year at a Public School in the area of Main Street and Queen Street in the City of Brampton.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, 35-year-old Sundeep Vilkhu was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Sexual Assault

  • Sexual Interference

  • Invitation to Sexual Touching

He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.

The accused is no longer employed by the school board.

Investigators are concerned that there may be additional victims and are appealing for them or anyone with information to come forward.
