Tennis: Rohan Bopanna, partner bow out of Wimbledon

The dream of 43-year-old Rohan Bopanna to win a grand slam at this age suffered a reverse as he and his Australian partner lost their semifinal match at the Wimbledon.

Sixth seeds Rohan Bopanna (India) and Mathew Ebden (Australia) fell at the penultimate hurdle losing to the top seeds in the men’s doubles event of the Wimbledon on Thursday. The Indo-Australian pair lost to top seeds N. Skupski(Great Britain) and M Koolhof (the Netherlands) 5-7, 4-6.

Skupski and M Koolhof will now play  15^thseeds H. Zeballos(Argentina) and M Granollers (Spain) for the title. Zeballos and Granollers defeated  10^th seeds German pair of T. Putz and K. Krawletz 6-4, 6-3 in the other semifinal.
