The victims of the 26/11 tragedy are still seeking closure because the culprits of the horrific act are still at large in Pakistan, thanks to the UPA regime’s pusillanimity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit on November 4 that, although India used to look to the international community for support following a significant terror attack against Bharat, since 2014, Pakistan, a nation that supports terrorism, has been the one turning to international forums to seek support against Indian retaliation.

PM Modi’s comments were not inane; rather, they outlined Bharat’s new counterterrorism doctrine, which states that India will take revenge on any terrorist organisation that launches attacks inside or outside the nation. The Indian armed forces’ 2019 Balakot strike and 2016 surgical strikes are outward manifestations of the CT doctrine. All three services were prepared for both vertical and horizontal escalations across borders, having planned both of these retaliations well in advance. Although the Army and Air Force’s involvement in both strikes is widely known, it is unknown that Indian Scorpene hunter-killer submarines were already circling the Makran coastline prior to the Balakot operation, presumably in order to neutralise any potential threat from the Pakistani navy.
