Toronto Police arrests 38-year-old woman for first degree murder
A 38-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the homicide of 67-year-old Ahmed Hasan in Toronto’s Weston neighbourhood last week, the Toronto Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Sonya Ahenakew, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on August 15. The police said that Ahenakew was scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. that day.
The cause of the death has not been disclosed, along with any information about how the victim and the suspect were acquainted to each other.
