Vancouver Starbucks Stabbing Victim Asked Man Not to Vape Near his Toddler
The sister of the victim in the recent Vancouver Starbucks stabbing incident has urged people not to watch the graphic video doing the rounds and for anyone with information to come forward. It has also been revealed that the altercation between the two men was about vaping.
On Sunday last week, outside a Starbucks café at the corner of Granville and West Pender streets, 37-year-old Paul Stanley Schmidt and 32-year-old Inderdeep Singh Gosal got into an altercation after Schmidt asked Gosal not to vape near his young daughter. As per the police, Gosal stabbed Schmidt in front of his wife and three-year-old daughter surrounded by many witnesses.
Bystanders then flagged an officer nearby who arrested Gosal. Shortly after, more officers arrived at the scene and tried to give first aid to Schmidt. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Videos from the scene show the incident taking place and Schmidt lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
