Young Brampton Girl Injured After Pickup Truck Crashes into Home

A young Brampton girl was taken to a hospital after a pickup truck crashed into her house. She is said to be in non-life-threatening condition and the suspect, who ran after the crash, has been reportedly arrested.

The incident took place at Edenbrook Hill and Bovaird drives at 11:45 p.m. when a pickup truck hit two parked cars before crashing into the side of a house on the street. A female child, who was inside the house at the time, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Details of the victim have not been shared yet.

According to Peel Regional Police, the driver who fled on foot was a South Asian man standing 5 ‘5 tall with black hair. He was running with a limp and blood on his face. The police also stated that the driver may have been impaired, but he has not been charged yet.

The South Asian driver is said to have been arrested shortly after with the help of a canine team.
